An ambitious dream to secure jobs and settle in USA met a tragic end for two Telangana girls who were killed in a devastating accident after returning from a short trip with friends as per the local media reports and family members in India.
According to these reports, Pullakhandam Meghana Rani and Kadiyala Bhavana, who hail from Garla Mandal, Mahabubabad district, went to USA three years ago and completed Masters in reputed universities. They were searching for good jobs to settle there.
Both Meghana and Bhavana accompanied six other friends for a weekend trip. Unfortunately, the car they were travelling plunged into a gorge while taking a sharp curve near Alabama on Sunday evening. The accident killed both girls on spot while others sustained serious injuries.
The local police immediately launched an investigation into the accident. The family members are trying to bring the bodies back to their village for final rites. A pall of gloom has descended the village after the heart-wrenching news about the death of both women spread in the media.
Meghana’s father, Nageshwara Rao, runs a Mee-Seva centre in Garla, while Bhavana’s father serves as the Deputy Sarpanch of Mulkanoor village. Both families are in a state of despair and shock with the tragedy.
