Yash’s Toxic: Lot Of Noise But Clarity Missing!

After the tremendous success of KGF 2, Yash took a lot of time to materialise his next film, and then he came up with Toxic. Considering that, this is the immediate next film from Yash after KGF, there is that natural anticipation surrounding it.

In occur with this anticipation, the scale of the project has also been amplified. The inclusion of a huge cast including Kiara Advani, Nayantara, Huma Qureshi and others is testament of the same. The promotional material has also been of good quality which reflects the lavish setting.

But the crucial point here is that Toxic has been riding on a lot of buildup and elevation while no one has real clarity on what is going to be the core concept of the premise of the film. All the material that far has been monotonous with lavish visual appeal rather than presenting the actual plot-line or the concept.

While the audience might show some interest in Yash after KGF 2, they will obviously need a canvas concept of what this Toxic is going to be about. More importantly, we have a box office monster coming up in the form of Dhurandhar 2 across all Indian languages which will clash with Toxic this March.

To put that into perspective, we have the case of Saaho, which happened to be the immediate next film of Prabhas after the epic Baahubali 2. This film was clearly marketed as a stylish action film, and it eventually found its audience in Hindi, which reflected in the good revenue is there. Even this kind of basic clarity is missing in the case of Toxic now.

There’s some time left for the affirmative promotional material to come out, but the need of the hour for Toxic is going to be to present its core concept at the earliest. It is the responsibility of the main man, Yash to assess the situation and come up with adequate marketing plans.
