Line Clear for The Raja Saab & MSG Ticket Hikes in ‘Telangana’

Raja Saab, starring Prabhas, is the first film to hit the screens this Sankranthi season. And then arrives Mana Shankar Vara Prasad Garu, starring Chiranjeevi in the titular role. Interestingly, The Telangana high court has granted permission for ticket price hikes and premiere shows for both films.

We have already informed that the producers of both movies plan to approach the government for permissions. Earlier, for films like OG and Akhanda 2, the High Court ruled out the GO issued by the government against the hikes. But this time, the court stated that the previous single-bench verdict applies only to Pushpa 2, OG, Game Changer, and Akhanda 2.

The best part of this is that the producers of both the movies applied for necessary permisions, much earlier than the release, such that they have enough time to sort out hurdles if any. With these biggies opening the box office this year, we are expecting a feast for the families and audiences this festival season.

Last year, a single bench judge has passed a strict order not to hike movie ticket prices in public interest. The Court has suspended the GOs issued by the Telangana government for granting these privileges to Akhanda 2. It even pulled up the state government for repeatedly ignoring its directions.

However, we need to see how the audiences will respond to the ticket hikes since more than one film will be following this approach.
