Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups is an upcoming film starring Yash in the lead role. Since the film is coming up after Yash’s super successful franchise KGF, there are naturally high expectations surrounding the film. However, the movie is also attracting buzz for the delays. Meanwhile, the team dropped a teaser on the occasion of Yash’s birthday, introducing his character Raya from the film.
Billed to be a period gangster film, the teaser introduces the world of Toxic. The teaser opens with a group of gangsters discussing the hero’s return at a graveyard. While they are all geared up to face the monster, they notice a car outside the graveyard shaking. It is then revealed that the hero has arrived and is kissing a woman inside the car, which is designed in a distinctive manner. Noticing the same, the gangsters are all ready for a fight, but unexpectedly, a blast takes place, leaving everyone scattered. Then, Yash steps out of the car in a stylish way to later say, “Daddy’s Home.”
True to the tagline that the film is a fairy tale for grown-ups, the film has content that will attract an A certificate from the censor board. The teaser looks stylish, grand, and outstanding. The quality of making is not expected from someone like Geethu Mohandas who has not attempted a film of this scale. The technical output is brilliant.
However, families might avoid the film due to the violence and the car scene in which the hero passionately makes love in a stylish manner. Since this is executed by a female filmmaker, we have to see how critics and netizens will receive it. The team cleverly hid the plot details of the film from the teaser but this will surely generate a good buzz around the project.
The film also features Rukmini Vasanth, Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria, Huma Qureshi, Akshay Oberoi, and Sudev Nair in key roles. The film is hitting the screens on March 19th, 2026.
