Prabhas starrer The Raja Saab is hitting the screens worldwide this Friday amid high trade expectations. As the makers secured all necessary permissions for ticket hikes and premieres well in advance, the film was supposed to huge number of special shows in Telugu states where the film is carrying massive hype.
While premiere shows commenced all over in Andhra Pradesh from 9 PM on Thursday, the film faced last minute hurdles in Hyderabad due to the delay in the release of government order. This has led to a huge dilemma among ticket booking apps and created unnecessary chaos at some theatres in Hyderabad.
Frustrated with the delay over the screening of premiere shows, Prabhas fans barged into theatres and created ruckus demanding the management to start the shows immediately. Unfortunately, the booking for premiere shows also did not start on time and led to total confusion.
The situation at Vimal theatre turned worse as large number of fans gathered outside as there was no proper information about the shows. Though the bookings are opened for shows from 11:30 PM, ticket prices are fixed at regular rates with no clarity on when the first shows start in Hyderabad.
Moreover, some of the notable single screen theatres started cancelling shows due to uncontrollable crowd inside the premises and outside as well.
Hyderabad is undoubtedly the biggest territory for Telugu cinema. Due to lack of proper planning, the makers have messed up with the premiere shows and disappointed fans bigtime. This will cause considerable damage to the first day revenues. The GO should have been released much earlier for a smooth release.
Directed by Maruthi, the horror drama stars Sanjay Dutt, Zarina Wahab, Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal and Riddhi Kumar as female leads.
