Producer Sudhakar Cherukuri said he is pleased with the response to the Sankranthi release Bharatha Mahashayalaku Wignyapthi, starring Ravi Teja and directed by Kishore Tirumala.
He stated that the film has reached breakeven in most areas and is expected to do so in the remaining territories shortly. With the extended holiday weekend, he said the film is showing steady performance across regions. According to him, distributors and buyers are satisfied with the returns so far.
Sudhakar Cherukuri noted that the Sankranthi season continues to highlight the audience preference for family oriented films. He said the intention was to present a clean entertainer suitable for the festive period, different from Ravi Teja’s regular action focused films, and added that audience response has been encouraging.
He also commented on the overall festive box office performance, stating that all the Sankranthi releases performed well. He mentioned that films generally see stronger runs from the second week onward, contributing to sustained collections in the following weeks.
Speaking about upcoming projects, Sudhakar Cherukuri revealed that his next collaboration with Megastar Chiranjeevi, directed by Srikanth Odela, will begin after the completion of The Paradise starring Nani. He added that the Chiranjeevi film will be set against a period backdrop.
On The Paradise, he said the project is progressing steadily and is around sixty percent complete, with a significant portion of the shoot taking place on specially constructed sets. He expressed confidence in the film’s overall outcome.
