Kollywood Debut Turns Unlucky For This Beauty

Krithi Shetty is one of those few starlets who was tipped to achieve the top league actress tag after a promising start to her career in 2021 when she made a striking debut in Tollywood with the blockbuster romantic entertainer Uppena and followed up with successful outings like Shyam Singha Roy and Bangarraju, which catapulted her onto the big stage.

Unfortunately, she suffered a string of flops after an impressive line up of projects. Films like Warrior, Custody and Manamey ended as huge debacles and impacted her success trajectory bigtime. She got the much needed revival in the form of Malayalam debut ARM which turned out be a successful outing for her.

The success of ARM continued her fine form with debut films in different languages which initially started with Super 30 in Bollywood and then extended with Uppena in Telugu.

So, she pinned a lot of hopes on her Kollywood debut Vaa Vaathiyaar with Karthi in lead role. But, the box office result of this cop drama turned out to be a big disappointment for Krithi Shetty. Despite releasing for Pongal festival, Vaa Vaathiyaar failed to evoke even minimal response from the audience. Krithi got raw deal and couldn’t impress much in the insubstantial role.

The disastrous result of Vaa Vaathiyaar ended Krithi Shetty’s success streak with debut films. She now aims to make amends with her next Tamil offering Love Insurance Kompany with Pradeep Ranganathan. She wants to make a strong comeback with this science fiction romantic drama and eye more solid offers in Kollywood.

While Krithi awaits the release of Love Insurance Kompany, rumours started gaining ground that she has been approached to play a pivotal role in Megastar Chiranjeevi’s next film with director Bobby. If this turns out to be true, it will be a huge turning point in her career.
