After Dhurandhar, Another B-wood Biggie Gets Banned in the Gulf

Border 2 is one of the upcoming Hindi films, set for a grand release tomorrow. Ahead of the release, it is now revealed that the film has been banned in the Gulf. Dhurandhar was also placed under a ban recently, and now, another Bollywood biggie is undergoing a similar situation.

As per the latest sources, Border 2 has been banned in Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE. The movies that are perceived as having ‘anti‑Pakistan’ content don’t get a release in this belt. Even then, the makers of Border 2 attempted to release the film in Gulf countries, but the outcome was unsatisfactory.

The current ban is expected to affect the film’s overseas box‑office performance. Usually, Bollywood movies tend to perform well in the Gulf as well. But the team will now have to settle for less.

Despite this setback, anticipation for ‘Border 2’ remains high in India. The ban will impact them more as Dhurandhar lost close to 90cr in gulf countries alone as per distributor.

The film’s plot is: Young Indian fighters are prepared to protect their homeland from a greater threat during the 1971 Indo-Pak war.
