Chiru & Balayya – The New Gangsters In Town?

Chiranjeevi and Balakrishna, are once again grabbing attention and this time for a surprising reason. Both actors are reportedly working on films that share a similar gangster backdrop.

Chiranjeevi is currently teaming up with director Bobby for a high voltage action drama set in a gangster world. The film is said to unfold largely in Kolkata and promises a fresh presentation with intense action and emotions. Though the title is still not finalized, the buzz around the project is steadily growing.

At the same time, Balakrishna is preparing for a new film with director Gopichand Malineni. Interestingly, this project has also shifted into a gangster themed story. Initially expected to be set in a periodic setup, the makers have now opted for a completely new subject. The story is expected to take place in Mumbai backdrop.

What makes this more interesting is the possibility of both films arriving around the same time. If schedules align or get delayed, there is even talk of a potential Sankranti 2027 clash, bringing back the classic Chiru vs Balayya box office face off.

Both stars have played gangster roles in the past, but those films did not turn into major blockbusters. Now, after reaching such a senior stage in their careers, taking on similar roles again has sparked fresh interest.
