After the historic debacle in the 2024 elections, the YSR Congress is now in a state of existential crisis, and it is the responsibility of party chief YS Jagan to revive the spirits of the cadres. In accordance with this, Jagan has been doing everything in his power to engage party workers.
He attempted the same at the Tadepalli office last evening when party leaders were arrested, as he made certain big promises about “2.0”.
Jagan pointed out that Chandrababu’s time as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh will be over after the next term and confidently said that he would be returning to power. He labelled this upcoming regime as Jagan 2.0 and added that it would be completely different from his earlier term.
“Jagan 2.0 lo cinema mamulu ga undadu. Maa YCP leader ventruka kuda peekaleru,” Jagan said, using mass terminology to energise the YCP cadres.
Speaking about the upcoming Pada Yatra 2.0, Jagan confirmed that it would start one and a half years from now. “I will be working across 150 Assembly constituencies in the state as part of this Pada Yatra, and there will be a massive public meeting once every three days. We will be going all out in this fight,” Jagan said.
It is evident that Jagan is trying everything within his capacity, in terms of vocal promises, to energise his party workers. The attempt is to somehow keep up the morale of the cadres for the next year and then build momentum ahead of the walkathon in 2027.
