Acclaimed Malayalam actor Prithviraj Sukumaran, who is currently enjoying the best phase of his acting career, is set to attain global popularity once SS Rajamouli’s much anticipated film ‘Varanasi’ hits the screens because he plays a nemesis to the lead protagonist Mahesh Babu. His first look as Kumbha has already grabbed the eyeballs of moviegoers across the world. 

As part of the film’s first promotional campaign, the cast of Varanasi interacted with Hollywood media and shared their experience on working with Rajamouli for this globe-trotting action adventure. Interestingly, Prithviraj Sukumaran has grabbed the spotlight with his candid talk while talking about his career and films. 

What caught the attention of everyone is how the Salaar actor smartly promoted one of his recent films, ‘The Goat Life’, for which he won the best actor award from Kerala State, during the media interaction besides talking about Varanasi. 

When the host asked Prithviraj to tell about one particular film which taught him a lot as an actor, Prithviraj immediately replied that working for The Goat Life was an enriching experience for him. He repeatedly told that he regards it as one of the best films in his career and also mentioned that the film is currently streaming on Netflix. 

The Goat Life is undoubtedly Prithviraj’s career best outing because of the time and the money he spent on making the film which took nearly 16 years from the start till it released in theatres. The theatrical response has also been promising and Prithviraj won plaudits for his commendable performance. 

The film, a survival thriller, is about an Indian migrant worker who gets trapped in Saudi Arabia as a slave after reaching there in pursuit of livelihood. Working on this film was a marathon journey because it was announced in 2009 and finally went on floors in 2018 before hitting the screens in 2024.

Though a section of netizens are trolling Prithviraj’s strategy to draw the attention of audiences towards The Goat Life, many are backing him because they feel that the actor didn’t get his due at national level for his perseverance and hard work for such a long period of time.
