Sequel to Nandamuri Hero’s Hit Movie In Limbo?

Is Nandamuri hero Kalyan Ram’s hit film Bimbisara 2 getting shelved? That’s the question currently doing the rounds in Tollywood circles. Kalyan Ram scored a memorable blockbuster with Bimbisara, directed by Vassistha, which emerged as a smash hit at the box office and revived his career in a big way. 

The sequel was announced with much excitement, and fans expected the franchise to expand quickly. However, it has been over three and a half years, and there is still no concrete update about Bimbisara 2. There are no signs of pre-production, no casting news, and not even a small official statement from the team. 

The prolonged delay has now sparked speculation about whether the sequel is actually happening. Meanwhile, after facing setbacks with films like Devil and Arjun S/O Jayanthi, Kalyan Ram is reportedly planning to collaborate with a new director, Srikanth, who worked as a writer on Pushpa. If this new project goes on floors soon, Bimbisara 2 may get pushed even further. 

Fans are understandably confused. Was Bimbisara 2 just an announcement hype? Or is the team waiting for the right time? For now, it looks like Kalyan Ram needs a solid hit to regain momentum before taking up such a big-budget sequel.

Until then, uncertainty continues to surround the much-awaited sequel of this super hit period drama.
