Ayesha Khan got fresh attention after the song “Shararat” from Dhurandhar became popular online. She has also acted in Telugu films such as Om Bheem Bush and Gangs of Godavari.
While her song is trending, she recently faced trolling after an incident with paparazzi at an event.
During the premiere of Tu Yaa Main, a photographer asked her to turn around for pictures while she was posing. Ayesha stopped and clearly told him in Hindi that respect is earned and lost by one’s own actions, and that the request did not feel right.
Some other photographers also supported her and asked the person to stop. After that moment, she continued posing and went inside. She has earlier spoken about how consent matters and how limits should be respected.
The behavior of that photographer was completely inappropriate and unprofessional. Asking an actress to “turn around” in a way that made her uncomfortable shows a clear lack of basic respect and boundaries.
Public events are not an excuse to objectify someone or make requests that cross personal limits. Ayesha was absolutely right to call it out, and it’s commendable that other photographers stepped in to support her.
She was earlier in the news after talking about her past relationship with Munawar Faruqui during Bigg Boss 17. Clips from her interviews spread quickly on social media and created debate. Now, after the success of “Shararat,” fans are curious if she will get big special song offers in Tollywood.
