The Nizam distribution circuit is witnessing interesting developments of late. With Annapurna entering the Nizam market aggressively and locking multiple films, the competition has intensified. Amid this shifting landscape, Dil Raju and Sirish Reddy are reportedly planning something big to retain their dominance.
As per trade circles, Dil Raju has gone aggressive with acquisitions, buying films for fancy prices. Toxic is said to have been acquired for a massive ₹120 crore for the AP and Telangana territories, a figure indirectly confirmed by Dil Raju himself.
Now, reports suggest that they have also bagged Biker for ₹20 crore for the same regions. These numbers clearly indicate that Dil Raju is not willing to step back and has planned big moves in the days to come.
After the underperformance of Game Changer and a few recent setbacks, there has been chatter in trade circles that Dil Raju may have lost his sharp judgment in picking winning scripts. The failures gave the impression that his once-unmatched hold over distribution had slightly weakened.
However, these latest aggressive moves hint at a strong comeback strategy. By securing big-ticket films and investing heavily, Dil Raju seems determined to reclaim the throne as the most powerful and reliable distributor in the Nizam territory. Whether this bold gamble pays off remains to be seen.
