Celebrities are often advised to maintain utmost restraint while speaking on sensitive topics like religious activities and sacred ceremonies. It appears that young Telugu actress Shivani got to learn this lesson the hard way.
Recently, the actress spoke in an interview and said she had a 15 minute Darshan at the Holy Tirumala Temple. She pointed out that no one touched her for 15 minutes, even amidst the queue and a few even shouted “Katyayani” (reference to her character in Little Hearts).
This statement from the young actress Drew criticism on social media. People started questioning the integrity of TTD for allowing even small time personalities for 15 minutes inside the temple while lakhs of devotees barely get a few seconds.
Shortly after this controversy blew up, Shivani clarified on this matter as she said she took a special entry Darshan by paying adequate money. She added that the 15 minute darshan that she was referring to includes the time in queue line as well and it isn’t just that she got to witness the almighty idol for so long.
The actress had to orchestra a cover-up job for the controversy that broke out after her earlier podcast video went viral. This is the reason why actors are advised not to do speak too much about their privileges as it could very well backfire once it gets out in public mediums. This can show as a valuable lesson to other actors.
