Naga Chaitanya who tasted biggest blockbuster of his career with Thandel is set to astonish in a completely new role, and totally different set-up with his next outing Vrushakarma, directed by Karthik Dandu of Virupaksha fame. The buzz for the movie is already high with an exceptional response to the promos. Meanwhile, the makers dropped first glimpse just a while ago.
The glimpse opens with a chilling moment as the antagonist sketches a strange drawing, which soon turns into actuality when a man is killed by a bat that emerges from the antagonist’s body. A powerful voice-over declares that when supernatural forces rise and disturb the balance of creation, destiny chooses a Vrushakarma in the form of the protagonist.
Director Karthik Dandu has crafted the glimpse in a way that makes you wonder whether a story can truly be told this insanely. Taking his signature style of mystical thrillers to a new level, he introduces a world never before witnessed on the Indian screen.
Naga Chaitanya has undergone a complete transformation for the role. Looking extremely stylish and strikingly fit, he has evidently put immense effort into the character. His dynamic screen presence and the breathtaking stunts hint at the dedication behind the performance.
Sparsh Srivastava is genuinely terrifying as the antagonist, delivering a chilling presence that makes the villain feel truly menacing. The glimpse also introduces key characters played by Meenakshi Chaudhary and Jayaram.
The technical brilliance is equally noteworthy. Cinematographer Regula D Herian delivers spectacular visuals that transport viewers into a carefully crafted mystical world, complemented by the imaginative work of production designer Sri Nagendra Tangala.
Ajaneesh B Loknath’s intense score amplifies the narrative, while the production values look grand. The film is backed by SVCC and Sukumar Writings, produced by BVSN Prasad and Sukumar, and presented by Bapineedu.
