The much-awaited sequel Dhurandhar: The Revenge is gearing up for a grand release, and the advance bookings have already begun on a strong note. The paid preview shows for the film are scheduled to begin from the evening of March 18, and the response so far has been very encouraging.
From March 14, audiences will also be able to book tickets for the extended four-day weekend, and trade analysts expect a massive surge in bookings based on the current momentum. The first part, Dhurandhar, performed well at the box office and was also converted into the premium IMAX format, which enhanced the theatrical experience for audiences.
However, the sequel will reportedly miss the IMAX conversion at the time of release. This means the film will still play in IMAX screens but only in a standard non-IMAX version, which has raised some questions among movie buffs.
Despite this development, trade experts believe it may not have a major impact on the film’s performance. The massive buzz surrounding the sequel, along with strong advance bookings, suggests that audiences are primarily interested in the continuation of the story rather than the format.
In fact, with the franchise already enjoying strong fan support and positive momentum, the absence of a full IMAX version is unlikely to slow down its opening. For now, the focus remains firmly on how big the film will open at the box office.
