The much-awaited Dhurandhar 2 has opened to a sensational response and is already making headlines for its record-breaking advance bookings. The film has reportedly surpassed the hourly booking record set by Pushpa 2: The Rule on Book My Show, crossing an impressive 108K tickets per hour on day one itself.
This strong trend clearly indicates the massive hype and audience curiosity surrounding the sequel featuring Ranveer Singh. Despite limited releases in languages outside Hindi, the film has managed to post huge numbers, including premieres.
Trade experts believe that if the film had been released smoothly across all languages, the opening figures could have been even bigger. What makes the situation even more exciting is the possibility of Dhurandhar 2 challenging all-time opening day records at the Indian box office, including those set by Pushpa 2.
With exceptional bookings, highly positive word of mouth, and encouraging reviews, the film is in a strong position. Pushpa 2 was a rage at the box office and collected close to Rs 1800 crore, and all eyes are now on the Aditya Dhar film. Another major factor working in its favor is the high ticket pricing in the North belt, which could further boost collections.
If the current momentum continues, Dhurandhar 2 might rewrite box office history in the coming days. The best part is that the holidays have started, and Eid is coming two days later, and then Sunday. So, the film is set for a massive first weekend collection.
