Abhilash Reddy made a strong mark with the web series Loser, but he always stayed away from the spotlight. Now, with his new film Biker, he is stepping out and talking about what really drives him. Gulte Pro had an interesting chat with this young director. Have a look.
Abhilash did not come from a big film background. He studied in Chitradurga and later trained at Annapurna Film School. From the beginning, he built a strong team that stayed with him for years. His early project Ekkadiki Parugu was made on a small budget, but it opened doors and eventually led him to Loser, which became a turning point.
Coming to Biker, this is not a regular racing film. Instead of street racing or stylish action, Abhilash is focusing on professional track racing. His idea is simple. Audience should feel the emotion first, then the race.
He is also confident that Indian technicians can match global standards if given the right opportunity. That belief reflects in the way Biker is made.
One interesting aspect is the 4DX experience. Abhilash personally worked on it so that the seat movements match the racing scenes perfectly. The aim is not random effects, but to make the audience actually feel the speed and turns.
More than just action, Biker is about balancing emotion and thrill. Abhilash wants the audience, especially youth, to connect with the story while enjoying the racing experience.
With this film, he is not just making a sports drama. He is trying to prove that with strong intent and clarity, even an underdog team can deliver something big.
