Dhurandhar: The Revenge is having a strong run at the box office across domestic and international markets. After the massive success of Dhurandhar, there were high expectations around Dhurandhar 2, and it was also anticipated to cross the collections of India’s biggest blockbusters, Baahubali 2 and Pushpa 2.
Dhurandhar 2 definitely lived up to the hype and became a sensational hit at the box office, but most likely, it wouldn’t cross the lifetime collections of Pushpa 2 and Baahubali 2.
According to the latest trade reports, Dhurandhar 2 has collected a worldwide gross of around Rs. 1435 crores. It will surely cross the 1500-crore mark at the box office, but to cross either Pushpa 2, it should reach the 1800-crore mark, which is a challenging task as it has already been two weeks since the movie was released.
As crossing the 1800-crore mark itself is quite challenging, reaching the 2000-crore mark of Baahubali 2 looks like an impossible task for the film.
As there are no other big releases in Hindi till April 17, it may have a strong run at the box office, and it remains to be seen how much it will end up collecting by the end of its theatrical run. So, going by the current trend, it looks like Dhurandhar 2 will remain the fourth highest-grossing Indian film, after Dangal, Baahubali 2, and Pushpa 2.
Directed by Adithya Dhar, Dhurandhar 2 is a spy thriller featuring Ranveer Singh in the lead role. The film features Madhavan, Akshaye Khanna, Sara Arjun, Arjun Rampal and Sanjay Dutt in other pivotal roles.
