Actor Jacqueline Fernandez has taken an important step in the money laundering case connected to Sukesh Chandrashekhar. She has told a Delhi court that she is ready to become an approver, which means she is willing to give information to help the investigation. This comes as a big shock as she earlier denied of all the charges.
As per the reports, the court has asked the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to respond to her request and scheduled the next hearing for April 20.
In the meanwhile, the court also directed the actress to follow the proper legal process in her request getting considered. She has to officially approach the ED, which will then record her statement and decide whether to support her request.
The case is about a ₹200 crore extortion racket run by Sukesh, who allegedly cheated several rich people. The ED claims Jacqueline received costly gifts from him, which may be linked to illegal money. Multiple times in the past, she made statements that she has no idea of all that happened but now, there seems to be a change in her stand.
Jacqueline says she did not know about any illegal activities and we have to see what happens next in the case.
