The lineup of Ramayana Part 1, Love and War, and Ramayana Part 2 has sparked an interesting debate among fans of Ranbir Kapoor. With Ramayana Part 1 slated for Diwali 2026, followed by Love and War during the Republic Day weekend in 2027, and Ramayana Part 2 arriving in Diwali 2027, the release order has raised concerns.
The core discussion revolves around Ranbir potentially portraying a morally complex or grey-shaded character in Love and War. Given that Ramayana is an emotionally rooted, culturally significant saga for Indian audiences, fans worry that such a shift in character portrayal might disrupt the emotional continuity between the two parts.
For many, Ramayana isn’t just another film, it carries deep spiritual and emotional weight. Seeing the same actor in a contrasting role in between could dilute the connection audiences build with his portrayal in the epic.
At the same time, others argue that Ranbir’s versatility as an actor is his biggest strength, and audiences today are mature enough to separate characters across films and enjoy them individually.
With Animal Park (2028) and Brahmastra 2 (2029) also in the pipeline, Ranbir Kapoor’s lineup looks ambitious. The real question remains, will Love and War enhance his range or interrupt the emotional journey of Ramayana?
