Reigning pan-India actor Prabhas starrer Fauzi, which is touted to be a period drama set in the backdrop of India’s freedom struggle, is one of the most eagerly anticipated upcoming biggies from South India this year.
The Hanu Raghavapudi directional has been making a lot of waves because of the intriguing genre and also due to the fact that Prabhas will be portraying the role of a soldier in this war drama.
Till now, there is no official announcement on when Fauzi will hit the screens even though the filming commenced long back. Except for the concept teaser and the first look poster of Prabhas, there has been no news either about the shooting updates or other important timelines relating to this release plans. So, there is a lot of confusion among audiences on when Fauzi will actually make it to screens.
Now, the CEO of Mythri Movie Makers has dropped a big update during an exclusive interaction with Gulte. Cherry stated that nearly 80% of the entire shooting portion is done and dusted.
Except for three major action blocks and some talkie portions, Fauzi has wrapped up its part. He informed that the shooting is steadily progressing at a brisk pace.
With this update, it can be assumed that Fauzi is very much on track for release this year. Given the scale of the project, Dussehra or Diwali release may be impossible because of the extensive post production formalities. But, the team can push for a December release which is an ideal season.
Social media sensation Imanvi is the female lead. It also features veteran actors Mithun Chakraborty and Jaya Prada in key roles.
