Old-School Genius: Singeetam Finishes Film in 4 Months

Sing Geetham is already turning heads in the industry, not just because of its teaser but also due to the incredible speed at which the film has been completed. Directed by legendary filmmaker Singeetam Srinivasa Rao, who is now over 90 years old, the film was officially announced only in February this year.

In a surprising achievement, the veteran director wrapped up the entire process, including shooting and post-production, within just three to four months. The film is now gearing up for a theatrical release on June 11, showcasing the remarkable discipline and efficiency Singeetam is known for even at this stage of his career.

The recently released teaser has generated curiosity for its musical backdrop and unique visual tone. More than the content itself, many in the industry are now discussing Singeetam’s old-school filmmaking style, where productions moved with precision and clarity rather than endless delays.

Interestingly, several of his classic films like Aditya 369, in the past, were also completed within just 40 to 60 days, a rarity in today’s filmmaking environment where productions often stretch for years.

With Sing Geetham, the legendary director seems to have once again demonstrated a masterclass in efficient filmmaking. The film has now become a talking point among cinema lovers, with many eagerly waiting to see what the veteran filmmaker delivers on the big screen.
