In today’s edition of Monday Stories, we saw the performance of last week releases – Kara, Jetlee, and Gaayapadda Simham.
The previous release – Vaazha 2 did not add any numbers after the first weekend. Michael did well in the Multiplexes.
Coming to the last week releases, Gaayapadda Simham was a profit venture for the Producers because of the non-theatrical sale and Dil Raju bagging the theatrical rights for 4 Crore. Producer will be safe but Dil Raju will suffer big time.
The movie’s collections could not even cover the Prints and Publicity.
Jetlee makers recovered most of their investment through OTT. The movie barely collected around 1.5 Crore Share which is a huge disappointment given the fact the director delivered a hit with Mathu Vadalara with his last film.
Kara Telugu rights costed around 3.06 Crore for the Telugu Buyer and it will collect around 2 Crore Share. The Producer may give back the GST of around 50 Lakhs. We are not sure if the producer or the buyer takes care of the expenses, either ways, it will be a loss venture.
