Thalapathy Vijay has become the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu and that has breathed life into his last film, Jana Nayagan.
The movie was supposed to release for Sankranthi but was delayed due to the Censor issues. Just before the elections, the movie got leaked compounding the issues.
There were reports that Amazon Prime Video even dropped the OTT deal. Everyone was writing obituaries for the Producer’s career.
Meanwhile, Vijay’s victory in the elections changed the colour completely. The movie is a hot cake now in the theatrical and non-theatrical circles.
There are multiple buyers in Telugu offering 15 Crore for the Telugu States Rights of the film. But the makers are expecting a whopping 35 Crore for the same.
Experts are expecting that the movie will take a good opening in Telugu as well as certain communities owning the actor especially after he became the Chief Minister.
It is expected that 15-20 Crore is good amount for the Telugu rights but anything above that is risky.
Jana Nayagan is a frame to frame remake of Balakrishna and Anil Ravipudi’s Bhagawanth Kesari. Anything above 15 Crore will need run beyond the first weekend.
