Legendary filmmaker Singeetham Srinivasa Rao’s musical supernatural entertainer Sing Geetham, produced by Nag Ashwin under the banners of Vyjayanthi Movies and Swapna Cinema, was slated for release on June 11. However, the makers have now postponed the film by a day, with the new release date set for June 12.
The delay is reportedly due to a delay in CG work. While Sing Geetham is being celebrated as a unique musical film, its core narrative is driven by a supernatural theme that relies heavily on visual effects.
The team is said to be taking extra care to ensure the VFX meets the desired quality standards, as it is one of the film’s major highlights.
Releasing on a Friday also works in the film’s favor, offering a more advantageous window at the box office. Meanwhile, the makers are planning to launch the theatrical trailer shortly before release, aiming to amplify the buzz and give audiences a glimpse into the film’s intriguing world.
The film stars newcomers Ayaan, Ahilya, and Shalini Kondepudi in the lead roles, with music composed by Devi Sri Prasad.
