Tamil Nadu has been witnessing increased number of brutal attack cases against women as the volume of rape and social misconduct concerning the female population was on the rise.
So there was this mounting pressure on new chief minister Thalapathy Vijay to take certain action on this matter, and he has now announced a pretty ambitious plan.
In a historic development, chief minister, Vijay has communicated that Tamil Nadu will be utilising drone system for increased surveillance for women safety.
For the first time in Tamil Nadu, the government is imposing a drone surveillance system using dedicated Singapore technology for monitoring the female safety in the state.
The state police department will be receiving significant app and adequate knowledge on drone surveillance in the days to follow, and these technological advancements will be used to track the safety.
The interesting thing here is that chief minister Vijay has allocated a massive budget of ₹354 crore for this drone surveillance system. There could be more significant advancement to this effect in the days to follow.
Andhra Pradesh government has been doing something similar with regard to drone surveillance on drug consumption and Tamil Nadu is doing it for female safety now.
