Mega Powerstar Ram Charan’s Peddi opened to an interesting response from the audiences. The film initially opened to an uproar but then stabilized. The team promoted the film well, and it made a lot of money at the box office. Despite the film’s poor performance in the North, the movie earned good revenue in the Telugu states. Now, Samantha’s new film Maa Inti Bangaraam pulled Peddi down at the box office.
It is generally expected that Peddi’s performance will decline during its third week, but given the way Maa Inti Bangaram is performing, Peddi has no scope to improve its revenue. Peddi’s dip is slow but already evident by the third week.
But, since there are no new releases in the second week, the audiences picked Peddi. Now that we have five new releases this week, Peddi has little chance of attracting audiences.
Peddi is not the immediate pick for family audiences in this third week, and Samantha has already promoted her film as something that will impress them. Despite the school opening season, when the families want to get entertained during the weekend, the only film that will be at the top of the charts is Maa Inti Bangaaram.
Moreover, Maa Inti Bangaram offers standard ticket prices, enabling families to step into theatres and slowing down Peddi’s revenues. The way Samantha’s film is performing is certainly a dream run for anyone as the movie achieved the break even mark in just a single day.
