Politics and cinema are two of the most challenging professions and very rarely do we see individuals who can shine in both these entities. The case of Thalapathy Vijay in Tamil Nadu is one such rare exception as he has tested tremendous success on both fronts. 

Firstly, Vijay is one of the biggest superstars in Tamil cinema, and also across Indian cinema. In fact, he has been the number one star in Tamil cinema for the last decade. 

While fans had been enjoying this endless high, thanks to the impeccable filmography of Vijay in recent years, he delivered more good news to them with his political endeavour. 

The fact that Vijay was able to become the chief minister of Tamil Nadu in his very first election campaign is a token of his impeccable journey, which has been filled with fighting spirit. Breaking the outright dominance of established stars like Rajinikanth and Ajith Kumar and still being able to create a legacy and become the biggest superstar industry took a lot of guts on Vijay’s part. 

The best thing about Vijay’s journey till now is that he was able to convince the people of Tamil Nadu in his very first attempt itself. He took around two years to establish the party and create a strong campaign that catapulted him to the CM position.

The constant trust building exercise and strong ground level functionary have supported him in the process. Today he has scripted history in recent times by becoming the CM in his very first attempt. 

Vijay did not have it easy on the personal front either. Just a couple of months before the election, his wife, Sangeeta, reportedly left him, alleging that he was involved in an extramarital relationship. For most people, such a situation could have been extremely demotivating and might have damaged their public image. However, that did not happen in Vijay’s case.

Vijay appeal to the public that they must trust his professional side, and so they did, which resulted in him becoming the CM now. Shortly, after becoming the CM, he immediately started good work, streamlining medical College permissions, cancelled diversion of Hindu temple fundings, removing illegal liquor outlets and many others. 

There might be one shot coming for Vijay fans now, which is regarding his film career as generally during his birthday, there will be a plethora of film announcements and updates. That can’t be the case this time as Vijay is the CM now and his aspirations are bigger than films.
