Vijay’s Jana Nayagan Falls Flat Before Balayya’s Mass

Nandamuri Balakrishna is one of the true blue mass heroes in Telugu cinema and the kind of mass patronage that he has amongst the audience is phenomenal to say the least. He is back in the discussion again as his Bhagavanth Kesari is remade in Tamil as Jana Nayagan featuring CM Vijay. 

However, not everything about this remake has been smooth for Vijay. This started with the delay in the release due to external factors, and now after the film has released, Vijay is getting dominated by Balayya. 

Many people who have watched this film are commenting that Vijay was unable to match the mass intensity and physical demeanour of Balayya in this film. They are comparing the original to the remake, and it turns out that the Balayya film has the raw intensity and mass mannerisms that were not replicated correctly in the remake.

Even in terms of power packed performance, Balayya, who is known for such masculine aggressive roles is clearly getting more marks than Vijay. But that is perhaps understandable, considering that Vijay is a blend of mass and class. 

Ironically, when Bhagavant Kesari released in Telugu, this film was severely affected by Vijay’s Leo had done more than 40 crore in Telugu. Vijay was able to deliver a body blow to Balayya’s Bhagavant Kesari back then, and now after as many years, Balayya is giving it back in an uncanny manner by getting more marks in terms of acting and intensity. This is a great leveller in all sense.
