Box Office: Half the Target Reached in Just 2 Days!

Chennai Love Story is heading towards a strong first weekend at the box office. The romantic drama is continuing its impressive run on Sunday, with good audience turnout reported across several centres.

According to trade estimates, the film needs to collect over ₹40 crore gross worldwide to reach its break even target. After two days, Chennai Love Story has reportedly grossed around ₹20 crore worldwide, covering nearly half of its target.

This is an encouraging start for the makers. However, the real test begins on Monday. If the film manages to hold steady during the weekdays, it will be well on its way to entering the profit zone.

Another positive factor is the release calendar. Apart from Srinivasa Mangapuram, there are no major releases next Friday, giving Chennai Love Story enough room to continue its box office run. While the film is now on track for a successful theatrical run, its final box office range will depend on how well it performs over the coming week.

Directed by Ravi Namburi and starring Kiran Abbavaram and Gouri Priya, Chennai Love Story has struck a chord with youngsters. All eyes are now on Monday’s collections, which will indicate whether the film can maintain its momentum.
