Mamitha is currently betting high on her next film, Viswanath and Sons, in Tamil, where she is paired with Suriya. Considering her recent setbacks in Tamil, Mamitha hopes to enter the success zone.

After gaining immense popularity with films like Premalu, She was fortunate enough to do Dude, which established her as a leading lady in Tamil cinema. Instantly, she got chances to work with Dhanush in Kara and with Vijay in Jana Nayagan. Both the films, however, failed to give her a good push, irrespective of the box office status of these films.

Mamitha is now playing a very important role at Viswanath and Sons. Just like Dude, the film also projects her in a role that could land her in the grey zone since she is seen wooing someone double her age.

The character’s dynamics are such, and Mamitha is always ready to take on challenging roles. So far, the promotional material only raised curiosity surrounding her role, and if it clicks well, Mamitha’s image and market can enter the next level.

Director Venky Atluri also opened up during the interviews that people will realize why they cast Mamitha only after seeing the film. If such is his confidence in the role, and if it pays off, that will be a big breakthrough for Mamitha. The film will hit the screens on August 14th.
