Sudhakar Cherukuri Supported Kiran’s Vision: Sampath Nandi

Successful producer Sudhakar Cherukuri of SLV Cinemas is backing the action drama #KJQ, starring Deekshith Shetty, Shashi Odela, and Yukti Thareja in key roles. The film marks the final directorial work of the late Kiran Kumar (KK), who passed away last year. The team celebrated the film’s pre-release event today.

Sampath Nandi said, “I should have been standing here with Kiran today. Instead, I’ve come here in his memory. Our friendship goes back two decades. We started our careers together, working under another filmmaker. Kiran often spoke about making a great film, but destiny had other plans. He was fearless, unconventional, and always believed in doing things differently. He first approached me with the script of KJQ, and I was supposed to produce it. Eventually, the project found its way to Sudhakar Cherukuri, who wholeheartedly supported Kiran’s vision.”

Srikanth Odela said, “KJQ was much more than a film for Kiran. It was his lifelong dream. He wasn’t just an outstanding filmmaker but also an incredibly genuine human being. Whenever I met him, he reminded me of Vijay Deverakonda’s character in Arjun Reddy. He even looked after stray dogs with so much affection. That’s the kind of heart he had. He poured everything into this film but, sadly, couldn’t live to see it reach audiences. My biggest wish is for this film to become a massive success in his memory.”

Actors Shashi Odela and Deekshith Shetty also shared their emotional connection with the project, stating that KJQ is a fitting tribute to and a heartfelt farewell for director Kiran Kumar.

The event was also graced by Sandeep Raj and Mythri Ravi.
