No FIR Against Minor Girl Who Abused Modi During Protest

Delhi Police has made it clear that no FIR has been registered against the 15 year old girl whose viral video from the Jantar Mantar protest triggered a nationwide controversy.

The girl came under the spotlight after a video surfaced online in which she was seen using abusive language against Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the youth protest. The clip spread rapidly across social media and drew strong reactions from several quarters.

Following the outrage, legal complaints were filed seeking action against the girl. The controversy intensified as many believed criminal proceedings had already begun against her.

A Zero FIR was initially registered by Noida Police based on the complaint. However, the complaint reportedly contained incorrect information about the girl’s age, leading to confusion over the legal process.

During the inquiry, the girl and her mother informed the authorities that she is only 15 years old. Police verified that she is a minor, making her case subject to the provisions of the Juvenile Justice framework.

After confirming her age, Delhi Police clarified that no FIR has been registered against her. Officials also stated that no FIR will be filed in the matter, putting an end to speculation surrounding possible criminal action especially after PM Modi’s public statement where he assured that his Goverment will not take any action against innocent youth.

The girl had earlier released a public apology after the video went viral. With Delhi Police now officially ruling out an FIR, the legal uncertainty over the incident appears to have been resolved, though the video continues to remain a topic of discussion online.
