The most-awaited trailer of Vishwanath & Sons, starring Suriya and directed by Venky Atluri, has finally arrived, and it promises an emotional, heartwarming and wholesome theatrical experience. After delivering the blockbuster Lucky Bhaskar, Venky Atluri seems to have crafted another film that blends family emotions, romance and inspiration.
The trailer introduces Sanjay Vishwanath (Suriya), a determined international pistol shooter who wins the gold medal at the Paris 2024 Olympics. However, his biggest challenge begins when his only child is diagnosed with a serious health condition. This unexpected turn forces him to connect with a donar, played by Mamitha Baiju, setting the stage for an emotional journey of love, healing and second chances.
Suriya looks completely at ease in the role, effortlessly balancing intensity, humour and heartfelt emotions. His natural screen presence and mature performance make Sanjay Vishwanath a character audiences are likely to connect with. Mamitha Baiju brings warmth and charm to the film, and the chemistry between the lead pair looks promising.
The supporting cast, including Radhika Sarathkumar and Raveena Tandon, adds emotional depth to the story. The trailer also benefits from GV Prakash Kumar’s soulful background score, which perfectly complements the emotional moments. Cinematographer Nimish Ravi captures the visuals beautifully, giving the film a rich and cinematic appeal.
Venky Atluri’s signature style of combining strong emotions with entertaining storytelling is clearly visible throughout the trailer. Instead of relying on loud drama, the film appears to focus on meaningful relationships and heartfelt moments, making it appealing to family audiences.
Overall, the trailer leaves a strong impression. It promises a feel-good emotional drama with inspiring moments, touching performances and quality production values. If the film delivers on the emotions showcased in the trailer, Vishwanath & Sons could emerge as one of the standout family entertainers of the year.
Produced by Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, and presented by Srikara Studios, Vishwanath & Sons is all set for a worldwide release on August 14, 2026.
