Kiran Abbavaram is clearly not interested in playing it safe. The young actor has scored a hat-trick of successes with KA, K-Ramp and Chennai Love Story, and what makes the run more interesting is that each film belongs to a different genre.
Kiran is continuing the same strategy with his upcoming films. The actor has now announced KA15 as Indraputra. Produced by Zee Studios and Prerna Arora, the film marks the directorial debut of Srikanth Puppala. The project is being positioned as a large-scale mythological action-fantasy and the first chapter of a planned mythological universe.
The film draws inspiration from Indian mythology and revolves around the timeless conflict between dharma and adharma. With action, fantasy, mythology and emotion coming together, Indraputra is being mounted as a pan-India spectacle. Kiran Abbavaram will reportedly be seen in a powerful new avatar.
The film is currently in pre-production and will begin shooting in October. For Kiran, the interesting part is not just the scale of Indraputra, but the direction his career is taking. Moving from thrillers and entertainers to emotional dramas and now mythology is a clear indication of that mindset.
With Keerthan providing the story and Tanvi N Dutta handling the screenplay, Indraputra could become another significant milestone in Kiran’s evolving career. His next KA13 directed by Kiran is currently in production, KA14 under the Sukumar Writings banner is in the pipeline.
