Hyderabad is emerging into the cinema destination of India. With Ramoji Film City and a lot of successful Pan-Indian films, Hyderabad and Tollywood have already become the face of Indian cinema.
A lot of movie lovers who were waiting for an IMAX to open here are finally happy that Asian Cinemas are developing one in partnership with Mahesh Babu for AMB Classic, replacing the old Sudarshan 70mm theatre. Now, the reports say that another IMAX screen is under development in the Financial District.
As per the latest reports in the film circles, Aparna Cinemas is planning to develop a 12-Screen Multiplex at Wipro Circle in Hyderabad. The plans are to bring an ‘IMAX SCREEN’ to the location to give the best movie-viewing experience to the audience. Already, Aparna Cinemas has its base in multiple locations of the city, and this time, they want to go big.
Usually, PVR and INOX multiplexes are the biggest in Hyderabad. But, brands like Asian and Aparna are also throwing stiff competition to the corporate chains. We have EPIQ format already in the city and BARCO Laser Screens at the premium multiplexes of Hyderabad. The entry of IMAX in the financial district will cater to the people living in the emerging future city.
As of now, AMB Classic is officially confirmed and we have to wait for more details.
