Mouli is now ready with his next film, DNK, and the project is turning out to be a crucial test for the young actor. After the unexpected success of Little Hearts, expectations have increased, and audiences are keen to see whether he can repeat the magic.
In an interview with Gulte, Mouli opened up about the sudden attention, comparisons and pressure following the success of Little Hearts. When asked about being compared with Tamil actor Pradeep Ranganathan and Malayalam star Naslen on social media, Mouli expressed his frustration.
“Whoever makes these posts, I don’t know why, but they seem to be deliberately trying to make people abuse me. I am just one film old and have limited resources to make a mark” he said. Mouli added that people themselves make these comparisons and then expect him to reach similar levels.
Mouli admitted that the pressure has increased because of these expectations. While Little Hearts brought him recognition and popularity, the comparisons have also created additional stress he says.
The young actor now faces the challenge of proving himself with Donga Na Koduku. The film will be closely watched, as audiences want to see whether Mouli can deliver another success and establish himself beyond the popularity of his debut.
