Big Relief For India: Hormuz Is Open Without Restrictions

India has been one of the badly affected countries due to the repeated restrictions on the pivotal waterway, Strait of Hormuz, ever since the conflict erupted between the USA and Iran. Senior Iranian lawmaker Ahmad Hayat-Moghaddam confirmed that vessels from India, along with China, Iraq, and Qatar are permitted to navigate safely through the strategic waterway.

The announcement comes amid growing naval tensions and heavy military presence in the Middle East that threatened to disrupt vital sea lanes. The exemption is not free of cost because Iran has imposed that Indian merchant vessels will need to pay standard transit fees to passage authorities while cross the key waterway.
