Directed by Indrajit Lankesh, Shakeela is a biopic of adult star Shakeela who made a name for herself in the south Indian film industry in the 90s and early 2000’s. The trailer of the film starring Bollywood actress Richa Chadha in the lead role is out.
The trailer gives us an insight into the bumpy journey of Shakeela from the time she lived a simple life as a teenager to her tête-à-tête with entertainment industry. Shakeela became popular among the masses after she started appearing in soft porn films. She gives a tough competition to all the male superstars of the south film industry. The trailer also sees Pankaj Tripathi as a star who ultimately gets threatened by Shakeela’s success.
While the Hindi and other versions of the film hit the screens yesterday, the Telugu version will release on January 1st through UFO Moviez.
