Most Eligible Bachelor – Akhil and Bommarillu Bhaskar’s ambitious collaboration with the backing of prestigious banner like Geetha Arts seem very safe on paper when it was launched. Since it is a romantic caper laced with entertainment, it looked pretty safe and seem to be a bounce back for both Bhaskar and Akhil.
However, for unknown reasons, the film’s budget has shot up. The makers have actually spent over fifty percent higher than the initial estimation of the film’s budget. This is now causing a great worry.
While over-budget has become a common practice in Tollywood, the unexpected Covid-19 pandemic, effect on exhibitors and distributors have all impacted the film’s business overall. This is now expected to add on the woes of the Bachelor.
Apparently, the makers had done a couple of re-shoots to fine tune the film and this is also said to be one of the reasons for shooting up of expenses. Now, the makers are in a tight spot. Since experienced producers have associated with this project, it needs to be seen how do they bail out this film. For now, this looks like an easier said than done.
