Dy Speaker Dies After Insult, Suicide Suspected

In a shocking and unfortunate incident, the Deputy Speaker of Karnataka Legislative Council was found dead in the wee hours. SL Dharme Gowda, the Deputy Speaker of State Legislative Council of Karnataka, was found on a railway track near Kadur in Chikkamagaluru. A suicide note was recovered, says cops. The police are examining the death note found near his body.

Dharme Gowda had reportedly left home last evening in his car. Since then he was missing and his body was found at a railway track later.

According to reports, Dharme Gowda was deeply upset and depressed over the recent happenings inside the Karnataka Legislative Council. Dharme Gowda was shoved and pushed by some angry Congress MLCs in the Council on Dec 15th. The angry Congress members had demanded that only Chairman can preside over the Council. This reportedly hadn’t gone down well with Dharme Gowda which is suspected to have forced him to take extreme step.

However, cops are probing this in multiple angles. More details are awaited. Dharmegowda’s body has been sent for autopsy.
