Big B’s ‘Sexist’ Comment On KBC Show

Bollywood Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has landed in unwanted controversy for his comments that he made on the show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati.’ Going into details, Big B posed a question at the contestant who was on the hot seat to identify the person that showed up on the screen.

And the question was “The economist seen in this image has been the chief economist of which organisation since 2019?” Surprised looking at the picture, Big B then commented, “Her face is so beautiful that no one can relate her to the economy.”

This comment did not go down well with netizens. The person in the picture is Gita Gopinath who is the Chief Economist of the International Monetary Fund (IMF). The news even reached Gita and she seems to have took it in her stride. She even expressed her fan-girl moment.

“Ok, I don’t think I will ever get over this. As a HUGE fan of Big B @SrBachchan, the Greatest of All Time, this is special!,” tweeted Gita with the video.

But the controversy settled in no time and to Gita’s tweet video, the senior Bachchan replied and clarified for once and all, “thank you Gita Gopinath ji .. I meant every word i said about you on the show .. said in utmost earnestness ..”
