After the release of Jaanu last year, Samantha took a break from movies. She focused on her OTT debut both in Telugu and Hindi. She turned a talk-show host for Aha and also did Amazon prime video’s ‘The Family Man 2’. Now, she is back to her first love, feature films. Samantha is busy shooting for her next Tamil film Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal. Nayanathara and Vijay Setupathi are a part of this film too. The film unit completed the shoot of second schedule and Samantha assured that the film is going to be a riot.
Samantha has been waiting to work with Nayanathara and Vijay Setupathi. With this film, her dream is coming true. Sam expressed her excitement of sharing the screen space with them on an Instagram post.
Sharing the film’s poster, Samantha wrote, “I’ve always wanted to work with the fierce #Nayantara and the mighty @actorvijaysethupathi 🤩. so I can’t tell you how much of a ball I am having working with the both of them together #kaathuvaakularendukaadhal. Midway through shoot and I can safely say this one is going to be a riot ❤️ @wikkiofficial you rocking this part.”
Vignesh Shivn, the film’s director also took to social media to give an update on the movie. “Feb 14th announcement coming your way today. #KaathuVaakulaRenduKaadhal. Second schedule wrapped up neatly by God’s Grace.” he posted.
Anirudh Ravichander is the film’s music director. Sreekar Prasad is the film’s editor. Seven Screen Studio and Rowdy Pictures jointly bankroll the project.
