‘Only A Legend Can Do It’

Published by

The makers of collection king Dr Mohan Babu’s patriotic film Son Of India have roped in maestro Ilayaraja to score soundtracks as music plays one of the crucial roles in the film. Mohan Babu and Ilayaraja are working together after a long time and we can expect some memorable music in the combination. Particularly, the film will have remix version of Raghuveera Gadhyam which is expected to be one of the major attractions.

Meanwhile, the team released a video of Mohan Babu requesting Ilayaraja to score a track on Raghuveera Gadhyam and the ace composer who initially expressed doubts whether he can compose tune for such beautiful song, he at the end agreed to do it. Interestingly, Ilayaraja is seen asking whether Mohan Babu will be singing the song as he sung the song flawlessly. However, Mohan Babu made it clear that he can’t sing but he can utter dialogues spotlessly.

“To produce a movie with legends is a God sent opportunity for me. And to make a iconic prose into a song, only a legend could do it. This is the first discussion between Mastero Sri. Illayaraja uncle and Father along with my director Ratna Babu. I wanted to share this video with you. And brining the song visually is another story altogether; that I will share soon,” reads Vishnu’s statement.

It may be mentioned here that, a poet, devotee, philosopher and master-teacher Vedanta Desika scored Raghuveera Gadhyam which narrates the story of Rama as like a prose. The song is remixed to give elevation to the protagonist.

Son Of India is directed by Diamond Ratnababu. The film’s first look poster got good response.
