Govt Says Telugu Producers Should Sign That Clause?

From a couple of weeks, Telugu Film producers representatives are said to be meeting Telangana Govt’s Ministers and other biggies to make sure that they get the permission to go ahead with the film shootings. As some factories are now operating with a limited workforce, even the film industry is asking for a similar benefit.

Right now, a buzz is coming out that Govt is okay if the Film Industry wants to continue shootings by following all the social distancing related norms. However, the government is said to have laid a clause that is puzzling the film producers now. If at all, any person who has worked on that particular film gets admitted in the hospital, then the producer has to take the responsibility of him and others. At the same time, if someone from the crew breathes their last due to Covid-19, then Producer should pay him 50 lakhs exgratia.

While Telugu producers insure their movies against any odd things happening, they don’t do any insurance for their crew members. So if there is any such alarming case of Covid-19, then surely producer has to pay from his pocket only. This said to be a terrifying clause for producers now and those who are willing to do it are very less, a source says.

As nothing has come out of this officially, we have to wait and watch what the govt will say about film shootings and what these producers will say.
