Climax Scene Between Me And Kajal Is My Favourite: Vishnu

Vishnu Manchu’s most expensive film Mosagallu is due for release in 2 days on March 19th. The film will be releasing on Pan India level as the story has universal appeal. Based on true incidents of biggest IT scam, Vishnu and team did lots of research before taking the film to sets. Vishnu speaking to scribes revealed many interesting facts about the film.

Mosagallu is most expensive film of your career. Did you feel it’s too risky?

I spent all my savings on Mosagallu. I’m feeling bit nervous as the film is releasing in a couple of days. Don’t believe if someone says that they are not under pressure. Everyone will have this nervous feeling, before the film’s release. I spent more than double to my market value on Mosagallu. It’s because I believed on the story.

What grabbed attention to do the film?

I was in USA when I first came to know about the incident. I was shocked to know that a brother and sister destroyed thousands of families in the USA with this scam. Unfortunately, we feel that, white people lead a rich life. But, the fact is we lead much better and richer life than them.

Did you meet the brother and sister?

They still say they are innocent. We didn’t meet them. But, we met the rest involved in it. We took liberties while writing the story. Original story will definitely shock you. The police officer who investigated is a true patriot. I met the real police officer as well. He’s DCP.

Where did the major investment go?

I wanted to make this film on high technical values, thus signed top-notch technical crew. More than 25% of the budget went to insurance of the crew in USA.

What’s your favorite scene in the film?

Climax portion between me and Kajal is my favorite scene.

Who proposed Kajal’s name for the film?

It’s me who proposed Kajal’s name. When Preity Zinta refused for some reasons, we looked for other best options. However, I was particular about casting a star heroine. Kajal too agreed to be part of the film, as she loved the script and her role.

When will you resume shoot of English version?

Only one week to 10 days of work is left. We are planning to shoot the portions in May.

What are your next projects?

I will next be doing D&D with Sreenu Vaitla. He is fine-tuning the script. I will be seen in a completely new look in the film and working five hours every day on gym. The shoot may begin from April second week. I’m also planning three web-series details of which will be announced soon.
