Why RAW Agent Saiyami Joined Nag’s NIA Team?

Rey marked debut of Saiyami Kher, but she then did few Bollywood and a Marathi film because of which she didn’t sign any Telugu film all these years. Finally, she returns to Tollywood with Wild Dog where she played an intense role. The actress speaking to scribes made few interesting revelations about her role and film.

What’s your role in the film?
I played the role of Arya Pundit, the ‘Raw’ agent (Research and Analysis Wing) in Wild Dog. Nag sir appears in the role of NIA (National Investigation Agency) agent Vijay Varma. There’s an interesting story behind why I, the ‘Raw’ agent, had to work with the NIA team led by Nag sir.

How was working with Nagarjuna?
I’m a big fan of Nagarjuna sir. I saw his film Shiva. But my favorite of his films is ‘Geethanjali’. I didn’t meet Nag sir before doing this movie. Our first combination scene was we together interrogate a terrorist. At first, I felt a bit nervous as Nag sir is such a big star. But he used to be very jovial on sets. He is very humble and ground to earth. Once, Nag sir brought a biryani from home. I really enjoyed that food. Ali Reza is also a good co-star. Producer Niranjan Reddy was also very supportive.

Who approached you for the film?
Director Ashishor Solomon called me for an audition as I’m very much into sports. I really liked the story when director narrated it to me. I felt excited about my character as well. Usually, heroines do not get big action sequences. But I have a lot of action sequences in this movie. I also have a chasing sequence with Nag sir. My fitness helped me to perform action sequences. Before starting the shoot, I took one month training in martial arts in Mumbai. The action sequence in the film will blow your minds.

Whom do you wish to work with in Telugu?
I like Prabhas and Allu Arjun a lot and I want to work with them. Also Rajamouli and Mani Ratnam are my favorite directors. I watched Tharun Bhascker’s Pelli Choopulu and I liked it.
