On 2nd of this month, Wild Dog starring Nagarjuna released theatrically. Unfortunately, by the time of its theatrical release, the Covid-19 situation worsened. The film would have done remarkably well had the second wave of coronavirus not hit the country.
The makers dropped Wild Dog on the largest streaming giant Netflix a couple of days ago, so everyone can enjoy the critically acclaimed film in the comforts of their homes. And not only that, the movie is streaming in four languages- Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.
While Wild Dog’s Telugu version is trending top India wide, the Tamil version is trending in fifth spot. It is also learnt that, the film garnered highest views among all south India films in a very brief period.
Though positive reviews couldn’t bring laurels to the film at ticket windows, it is having positive impact on OTT. Nagarjuna’s action-packed performance as NIA Agent, director Ashishor Solomon’s intense research on the story and engaging narration, along with brilliant work from the entire technical team favored Wild Dog to impress viewers big time.
Moreover, the film that includes many terrorist incidents happened in India, including the Gokul Chat bomb blast in 2007, falls under patriotic films and thus entire country showed interest in watching the film.
